Rapson's manager apologises for his Client's piercing words

Manager for Blue Eagles talented right forward, Rapson Richard, Macdonald Luiz Kapalamula has on behalf of his client apologised to the football fraternity after making unacceptable remarks after Eagles game.

Richard Rapson who was relased from the Lali Luban based team earlier this before joining Ekwendeni Hammers netted the only goal for Blue Eagles as they walked over Mighty Mukuru Wanderers to collect three points on Saturday afternoon at Nankhaka ground.

After the game, Rapson in an interview with a certain journalist, said it was a revenge on Mighty Mukuru Wanderers for disrepcting him by releasing him without following proper protocol.

"Team iyi inandichotsa mwamwano komanso mwachipongwe ndiri muchikhakha. Khumbo langa ndimafunisitsa nditapeza chigoli, Ambuye wandidalitsa ndachipezadi ndipo chomwecho nkukhala chopambanira," said Rapson after the game.

But in reaction to his client's sentiment, Kapalamula has bowed down to the football fraternity begging for forgiveness saying his client used wrong words.

"I just wanted to apologise to his fans and the entire football fraternity at large. He did not speak well, per haps he was not aware of what he was saying.

"He is young and he needs to be guided in most of his doings, maybe it was out of happiness according to the results of the day. Scoring the winner, maybe he was over excited. But it was not intentional. We have sat down with him and he has promised us not to repeat the same mistake," said Kapalamula.

Rapson joined Blue Eagles during the mid-season transfer window from Ekwendeni Hammers where he had a good run of form in the first part of the 2022 tnm Super League.

The former Mzuzu Warriors striker, Maxwell Gasten Phodo has left the Capital City based side, Silver Strikers Football Club after the two sides failed to agree on contract terms.

The striker who has been at the Club for two years saw his contract expiring on 2nd October, 2022 and he couldn't extend his stay at the area 47-based side.

In a statement, Silver said they tried all their options to have the player tied to another contract but the terms that he was demanding were beyond the Club's capacity.

"Silver Strikers Football Club would like to inform its fans, stakeholders and the general public that the club has failed to agree on contractual terms with Maxwell Gasten Phodo after the expiry of his contract on 2nd October, 2022. The Club did everything to possible to extend the player's contract but his demands were beyond what the Club can manage hence the deadlock. The Club therefore commits that the player has left with an immediate effect as a free agent," reads part of the statement.

Some weeks ago, it was reported that the player has agreed personal terms with one of the Blantyre based giants, between Nyasa Big Bullets and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers.
