Two high profile Coaches, John Maduka and Jordi Condom are being linked with a move to replace Zimbabwean, Kaitano Khembo at Sekhukhune United.

The former Flames and Silver Strikers Captain dumped Royal Am for Maritzburg United after a successful season with the Kwazulu Natal side but could not see his success being repeated at the Pietermaritzburg side.

Maduka helped Royal to qualify for the Continental Football [Caf Confederation Cup] after finishing third in the Premier Soccer League last season.

However, things have been against him at his new home after recording only two wins  in his last 13 outings with the team, a performance which prompted the owners of the team to fire the Malawian Coach.

Barely days after his sack from Sekhukhune, Maduka is being linked with a move to Maritzburg United and he is battling for the post with former Spanish midfielder, Jordi Condom and former Swallows Coach Brandon Truter.

"We have been flooded by numerous applications. We are receiving applications from both local and international coaches who are vying for the vacant. However, I can't mention the names. Coaches from Spain and France are interested in the post," one of the Club officials told WaMpira.

However,  there are reports lingering around that Maduka coulbe heading to hos former Club, Royal Am.

While indications are that the KZN-based outfit could rope in Fadlu Davids as their next coach, sources have revealed that Maduka’s name has been bandied about for a potential return to Royal AM.

“John Maduka is being considered for a return to Royal AM as a possible addition to their technical team. Remember that Royal AM had three coaches but ever since Dan Malesela left, his role hasn’t been filled. Maduka’s name has been mentioned as part of the planned changes, though nothing is official yet,” said the source.

Sekhukhune United have only managed to collect 11 points from 12 games and they are languishing in 15th place in the standings of the 2022-23 Premier Soccer League.
