Agent for former Silver Strikers forward, Maxwell Gasten Phodo, Felix Kholowa says we should treat reports that his client is heading to either Mighty Mukuru Wanderers or Nyasa Big Bullets.
Phodo left the Capital City based side on Monday after failing to agree on the contractual terms and is now free agent.
Silver Strikers Chief Executive Officer, Thoko Chimbali said the Club did everything to keep the former Mzuzu Warriors and Dedza Dynamos striker but his demands were beyond the reach of the Club.
"We allowed him to leave after we failed to reach his demands. We did everything we could to keep him here [at Silver Strikers]. As a club, before every player enters the final six months of his contract, we open talks with him and it was the same with Phodo but he declined to sign a new contract that we had offered him. We have therefore replaced him with Madalitso Maso from our Reserve side," said Chimbali.
Since he left the Club, Phodo has been linked with move to both Blantyre giants but his Agent says as of now nothing has been placed on the table.
"I heard such rumours some months ago. Thus was a time we were holding talks with Silver. We have had four enquiries from four or five teams, including the big Clubs but we are yet have something tangible on the table. Nothing has been agreed,. As of now, let's treat it as rumours," said Kholowa.
He added that they are open to listen to offers from international clubs.
Phodo joined the Bankers in 2019 and has managed to score 19 goals in all competetions.
