Sports Analysts in Malawi said the pressure can start to mount on Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club following their 1-0 defeat to Mafco Football Club on Sunday afternoon at Dedza Stadium.
Zikani Sichinga scored the only goal that saw the people's team 36-game unbeaten run come to an end.
Blue Eagles on Saturday beat Mighty Mukuru Wanderers 1-0 as Richard Rapson scored the only goal.
The win for Blue Eagles and a defeat for Nyasa Big Bullets have seen the gap between the league-toppers, Nyasa Big Bullets and Blue Eagles being cut to only 5 points with only 4 games to go before the season ends.
Bullets have 61 points from 26 games while Blue Eagles have 56 points from 27 games.
For Great Kali's boys to be crowned as the Champions for the 2022 tnm Super League, they need to collect 4 points from their remaining 4 games.
Analysing the stiffness of the competition, Peter Fote and Mphatso Malidadi during 360 show on Times Radio said pressure can now start mounting on Bullets as it seems like fatigue has started haunting them.
"Am not surprised with the defeat to Mafco, three draws, one win in their last four games, what next do you expect? Bullets have tired, they have played more games. The technical panel itself played a role in the defeat because even a spectator would tell you that within first 20 minutes that Samban [Precious ] was not in the game. Chirwa who is probably the contender for Player of the season for Bullets was stagnant, Idana who is the engine for the team was absent.
"I thought that both Idana and Sambani would have been pulled out of the game at half-time. They pulled out Seleman who was the threat. I don't know what the technical panel was thinking about.
"Who knew that Mafco would beat Bullets? Everything is possible in football, pressure can start mount on Bullets. Everything is in their hands, 85% they have that chance," said Fote.
Mphatso Malidadi concurred with Fote saying that they have that huge chance.
"However, everything can happen. They are tired but they should not feel that they are tired," said Pilimon.
Blue Eagles Assistant coach, Christopher Sibale after the game against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers said the for the Championship is not over until it is over.
"We are there competing for it. It is not over until its over," said Sibale.
However, Kalisto Pasuwa who is looking to win his fourth League title in four years said there is no need ro panic saying that they will bounce back to the winning ways in the coming games.
“I will take the next fixtures as they come. There is no need to panic and as I said, we need to also taste the mentality aspect of [the players] from a defeat, how do they return to winning ways? And this [loss] will see us going back to the drawing board and bounce back in the upcoming fixtures," he said.
Nyasa Big Bullets have played 36 games this season in all competetions and some of the players were also being involved in Flames games.
