Times Sport has reported that the Blantyre based giants, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers officials held a meeting with their sponsors, Mukuru in South Africa where they discussed and reviewed the current contract.
Mighty Mukuru Wanderers secured a K175 Million Sponsorship in June this year.
Wanderers Legal Adviser and Company Secretary Chancy Gondwe and Public Relations and Media Liason Clement Stambuli represented the team and confirmed that they had held a good meeting with their sponsors.
Stambuli said hiring foreign technical director, Mark Harrison is one step of taking the Club to the next level adding that the mindset of players must be focused on playing football as a career.
He added that the sponsors were happy with the step that the club has taken and he said they will hold another meeting soon to submit the recommendations of the team.
“We will meet again for submission of some of our recommendations and, as sponsors, they will also meet. As you are aware, they are headquartered in Europe and they are trying to penetrate Asia aside from Africa and Europe. As a team, we believe we have massively helped market their brand here,” he said.
